Lists & Notes
We’re excited to introduce the new Lists & Notes feature. Whether it’s a packing list for a camping trip or notes from parent teacher conferences, the new Lists & Notes feature is a great way to clear your mind of all the different pieces of information you’re trying to keep track of for your family, helping you both focus and relieve stress.
Lists & Notes
The new Lists & Notes section lets you create, save, and share custom lists with your entire family. The Lists & Notes can be accessed from the Home screen, Main Menu screen, as well as within the Family Member and Topic screens.
Here are some common lists that would have a great home in Kukini:
- packing lists
- event & project planning
- back-to-school and summer camp prep
- wish lists
- gift ideas
- recipe and meal ideas
- vacation planning
- meeting notes with doctors, dentists, and teachers
- care procedures, instructions, or routines
- research
List Types
To accommodate the many uses for lists, there are four different types of lists you can create, each formatted and displayed differently:
- bulleted
- numbered
- checklists
- notes
Private Lists
Similar to other content on the Premium plan, lists can be made private or shared with specific family members. This could be particularly useful for things like gift ideas for a family member, event planning, or other notes that you want to work on alone or with a subset of your family.
List Sections and Re-ordering
Bulleted, numbered, and checklists also allow you to add section headings to further organize items in lists. To re-order items, just long-press the item to drag-and-drop it to the desired location in the list. To re-order entire sections, just long-press the section heading and drag-and-drop it as you would an item.
Lists & Contacts Navigation
Lists and contacts (introduced in our last product release) can optionally be tagged with Family Members and Topics. When you navigate to a Family Member or Topic screen, you’ll now see a navigation option to view associated Lists and Contacts. This is a great way to quickly find a list for a particular family member or activity. For instance, you could quickly find notes from teacher conferences for a particular family member, packing lists for a camping trip you have associated with the “Activities” or “Vacation” topic, or contact information for parents of one your children’s friends.
