All families with existing accounts automatically get the Standard Plus plan, allowing them to continue to enjoy the same features and benefits they’ve become accustomed to. New accounts will start with the Standard plan.
Private Content
You can now control who has access to view specific to-do’s, calendar appointments, and health & activity events by adjusting their visibility. By default, everyone in your family can view all content. With the private content feature, you can adjust the visibility of individual pieces of content. This is particularly useful if there are to-do’s, appointments, or health logs you want to keep track of for yourself or specific family members that you’d prefer not everyone to have access to.
You can choose to make content private just for you or share it with specific family members that have accounts (for example, just you and your spouse). Content and summary statistics are automatically filtered from all views for those users that don’t have access. For those that do have access, they’ll see icons on list items indicating that those items have visibility restrictions.
Merchant Shopping List View
You can now drill down to see a shopping list for a particular merchant. From the full shopping list, each merchant with items is now clickable, taking you to a view focused on that merchant. All items added from within that view are automatically added for that merchant. This is a great way to plan and execute a shopping trip to a particular store.
Design Improvements
We made several design improvements when viewing content. You’ll notice that the detail view of to-do’s, shopping items, meals, chores, appointments, and other content are better organized using icons and larger fonts to make scanning and reading easier.
We also improved the controls for accessing additional options on each of the main views. Controls to sort, filter, adjust settings, and select views are now available via the “more options” icon in the upper right corner of the screen. You’ll also notice that re-ordering shopping items and to-do’s results in a slight shake to the physical device to provide haptic feedback.
The Calendar Month view now displays events in a smaller, even more compact design, allowing more events to be visible to get a quick overview of what’s planned.
Bug Fixes & Platform Updates
We fixed several bugs, including an issue where the Calendar agenda view was jumping around as it was being scrolled. We also made significant platform updates, which requires that all users sign in again. This is obviously an inconvenience, but paves the way for important improvements in upcoming releases.
